Anthony Jones-Player (aka The Player or The Player Music) is a rapper/singer/songwriter, originally from Vallejo, California but he currently resides in Lansing, Michigan. He hopes to one day impact the world with his music and help his family live comfortably. The Player's newest album "The Art Of Attempting" is a 7 track project focusing on themes of love, loss, self worth, and perseverance cultivated through recent experiences. It was primarily created over the span of a month and serves as a time capsule for the emotional weight that was felt prior. It primarily blends jazz instrumentation with boom bap, trap, and soul influences to create a dynamic yet cohesive soundscape. It was also fully produced by The Player, marking his first fully self produced body of work. Regarding the completion of this album, he says: "Now that I've finished this project I feel like the most intense emotions that I've felt can live inside the art instead of within me. I feel like I can move forward."
