Seconds To Serenity formed in 2012 in Chicago’s alternative metal underground, forging a sound built on crushing riffs, dense atmosphere, and introspective lyricism. Blending aggression with emotional depth, the band explores grief, isolation, resilience, and self-reckoning through music that is both punishing and cathartic. They released their debut full-length Scarlet in 2013, followed by the Learn To Fly EP in 2015, before stepping into a prolonged hiatus that left their future uncertain. In 2025, founding frontman Jake LoGiudice revived the band with Brian Benischek, Dana Goggin, and Draven DC, unveiling a darker, heavier, and more focused incarnation shaped by time and lived experience. The singles “Bloom,” “The Void,” and “Without You” preceded their 2025 album Nexus, a raw meditation on collapse, survival, and rebirth through fire.
