What Did You Expect? is the solo punk/alt-rock project of multi-instrumentalist Chris Goode, a long-standing face in London’s DIY scene, and a drummer who’s spent over a decade performing live and touring with bands such as The Drunken Ramblings, Playground Circus, The Shapers, and Our Lives In Cinema.
After years of hammering out other people’s chaos from behind the kit, this project was born in 2018 from a desire to do & say more.
Following nearly a decade of performing solo, Chris now steps forward with a dynamic live band and new music on the way, showcasing their own brand of personal punk.
Wearing heart on sleeve, and tackling topics from social and political injustice to sexual identity and mental health, What Did You Expect? is loud, heartfelt, and painfully sincere punk rock for these troubling times.
