Sara Trunzo is a songwriter, organizer, & host of “Country & Northeastern” on WERU. Her 2019 “Food and Medicine” reached #3 on Folk Alliance International chart. Lonesome Highway said her latest EP, Cabin Fever Dream, was “loaded with truly touching lyrics and provide[s] a glimpse of an unquestionably talented artist.” Adobe & Teardrops called her last single “Taking My Power Back”, “political country music at its finest.” Trunzo has collaborated w/ Darrell Scott & Mary Gauthier; shared stages w/ Carlene Carter & Malcolm Holcombe; & played venues like The Bluebird & Birthplace of Country Music Museum. She has received honors from ME Songwriters Assoc., Int'l Acoustic Music Awards, New England Songwriting Comp, TN Songwriters’ Week, Hazel Dickens. She co-founded Veggies For All & Waldo County Bounty & has worked on social justice/environmental campaigns.
