Ventura County Archaeology is a channel devoted to discussions of archaeology, Cultural Perspectives, historical archaeology, laws and regulations affecting archaeology, and issues regarding preservation of these resources in Ventura County. My name is John M. Foster, RPA and President of Greenwood and Associates. I am the Archaeologist (volunteer) for the Ojai Valley Museum and the Ventura County Museum. I have 45 years of experience in Ventura County and reside there. It is my opinion that the best way to preserve our archaeological and cultural heritage is by actively engaging the public in the process. After several years working at the museums I believe that social media is the most effective means to communicate to the various peoples and communities of the county and that is why I developed this channel.
