re:Naissance Opera is a bold new opera company driven by local artists and a deep commitment to equity, inclusion, intersectionality, innovation and collaboration. We produce modern-day operatic performances that represent and connect the diverse communities, people and storytelling media unique to our home-city of Vancouver. We believe that by harnessing the collaborative and interdisciplinary nature of opera; by empowering storytellers and producing stories that have been excluded from the operatic space, we will change the world one opera at a time. Our YouTube channel is dedicated to sharing the new works we have commissioned and the creative processes and artists behind them. Current works in progress include: OrpheusVR, Sanctuary & Storm, Untitled: An ASL Opera, The Apocrypha Chronicles and the 2020 IndieFest Digital Time Capsule.
