Created by Nikolai Stranglove, the Republica Animecana channel and its other related social media support platforms started just as a labor of love. The mission was to showcase video content from the very best in Dominican entertainment events he covered. From its very inception (back in June of 2016) the R.A community as a whole very deliberately targeted the niches of Dominican Heavy metal, Rock, Jazz, Cosplay, EDM and Pop Culture as areas of primary interest; All of which (despite having a lot to offer) Nikolai felt were not getting the proper level of attention they deserved from the public when compared to established more mainstream niches at the time like Dembow and Bachata by comparison. Over time, R.A's content library has grown into one of the few and earliest local formal online outlets dedicated to chronicling and preserving these works. A sort of archive that makes them easily accessible and prevents them from fading away.
