Len McDougall is a professional outdoorsman with five decades of hard experience that includes being abandoned by SAR authorities as dead twice during blizzards. Len is the most experienced outdoorsman in America, an internationally recognized survival instructor, with 30+ years of teaching what his students describe as the most informative real world survival training in America, and numerous of them have credited his training with having saved their lives. He raised full-blooded gray (timber) wolves, under license, for 18 years. He is a life member of the International Society of Professional Trackers, and author of a score of books, including The Ultimate SHTF Survival Handbook, Modern Lumberjacking, Tracking and Reading Sign, The Log Cabin,, Practical Outdoor Survival, The Complete Tracker, The Snowshoe Handbook, The Field & Stream Wilderness Survival Handbook, and others.
