The Truth Will Set You Free: In John 8:31-33, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” As we think about these words of Christ, we can clearly see that the way to spiritual freedom is following His teachings. The implication is that if we're not following His teachings, we are living in bondage to sin. If you're going through life without Christ as your Savior, you are living in bondage. And if you have accepted Christ as Savior but haven’t submitted to him as Lord by living a life in obedience to His word, you’re in bondage as well.
