Southern Methodist University may not have a musical theater program, but their grad and undergraduates actors, directors and playwrights can more than hold their own in front of a microphone. The increasing interest of the student body of the Meadows School of the Arts in musical theater has prompted the staging of well known student produced productions and fully funded musical workshops. Their interest has even brought the likes of broadway musical director Kimberly Grigsby and acclaimed composer Adam Guettel to Dallas for intensive, hands on training.
