taumel is the musical formation comprising sven pollkoetter and jakob diehl. the sound is drums, guitar, piano/keys, voice and electronics, but depending on the project its instrumentation is reduced or extended through additional musicians/instruments. taumel does not distinguish convention from experiment. composition and concept stand side by side with free improvisation and chaos. opposites collide to form new creations and conglomerations. in multiple stages, taumel creates stylistically distinctive music series that develop independently of each other and appear in individual albums.
