I have been using the word play on my name (Mash) + the “ine” suffix (Mashine) as my publishing company, band name, and corporate identity since the early 1980s. Having been involved with electronic musical instruments since the 1970s, I have worked with many of the major hardware and software companies including Korg, Yamaha, Roland, Kurzweil, Digidesign, Avid, Opcode, Fishman and Godin to name a few. I was affiliated with Berklee College of Music for 44 years, including founding the Music Synthesis Department (now called Electronic Production and Design), and my last job was Senior Vice President for Innovation, Strategy, and Technology.
