Archives are, first and foremost five close friends from Adelaide, South Australia. Growing up together shaped these individuals, through similar experiences towards one goal; the creation of music that is both artistically and technically challenging, whilst still remaining an earnest and heartfelt outpouring of emotion. Archives describe their sound as an eclectic melting pot of a variety of influences, most notably a combination of the ferocity of hardcore and the emotion and melody of the Smiths and the Cure. Archives passion is the live experience. The creation of a connection between an audience and a band can never be imitated. It is this connection that Archives seek, as the true conformation of their artistic endeavors.
