Mette Henriette is a saxophonist and composer working across creative disciplines. In 2015, she became the first artist to debut with a double album on ECM Records. It was produced by Manfred Eicher and graced with a portrait by Anton Corbijn. Since then she has toured Internationally including leading festivals and art institutions worldwide such as Barbican Hall, Berliner Festspiele, Dark Mofo, documenta14, Moldejazz, Musée d’Orsay and Oslo Opera House. Mette Henriette has composed orchestral works commissioned by Oslo Philharmonic and Klaus Mäkelä (also performed by The Hallé at The Bridgewater Hall) and Arctic Philharmonic, as well as a piece for solo violin commissioned by Eldbjørg Hemsing. Her second album 'Drifting', released on ECM Records in 2023, is praised by the International press including The Guardian, Pitchfork, Downbeat, Télérama, Jazzwise, Jazz Magazine, BR Klassic and Stereogum.
