“Pay the Trucker” isn’t just a song—it’s a movement built on simple fairness. Truckers keep this entire country running, yet too many of them are only paid by the mile. That means the moment the wheels stop, the money stops, even though the work doesn’t. A driver can spend hours doing pre-trips, post-trips, fueling, waiting at docks, getting loaded or unloaded, sitting in traffic, or stuck on the ELD clock—and not get paid a dime for that time. Some companies even force drivers to wait two full hours before detention pay even starts, and many brokers don’t pay detention at all. How is that fair when the driver is still on the clock, still responsible, and still working? Everything we depend on touches a truck at some point.
