I am a potter living and working in Cornwall. My practice is thrown and hand-built work informed by the landscape and the techniques and heritage of modern studio ceramics. I work part-time as a Learning and Participation Officer at the Leach Pottery in St Ives and for Rochester Independent College. I run throwing courses from my studio on the Old Tram Road in Penpol from April to October. My ceramic work explores the seen and unseen of Cornwall’s coast and creeks. It describes the ebb and flow of the tide affecting the area of Cornwall where I live and that I overlook from my creekside studio. From the subtle beauty of high water vistas to the reality of a scarred industrial past.
