Wizard Castle Takeoff began as a home studio music project by Wil Barnett. As a student at the University of Alabama, Wil worked with roommate Jordan Belcher to produce an EP of orignial material. Wil helmed the recording and production process, along with serving as primary songwriter and performer for most instrumentation and vocals. Jordan played bass guitar in the recordings, along with contributing songwriting and vocals. Good friend Joe Florence provided lyrical content and appeared as a vocalist in the recording of his lyrical piece.
Upon Wil relocating to Birmingham, AL, Wizard Castle Takeoff began to change shape. No longer simply a studio project, Wizard Castle Takeoff is developing into a live band and preparing to play shows in the Birmingham area.
