From the glittering dance floors of the 1980s to the rave-fueled clubs of the 1990s—and now into the digital music era—David “DJ” Hunter brings decades of experience to "Dreams Live On," a collaborative project with his songwriter wife, Abby. He published his first song at 14, his first novel at 18, and spent two years in a counterculture band in Laurel Canyon. In the summer of 1980, when a friend DJing at a major Hollywood club fell ill, David was asked to step in. That night launched a 14-year career as a dance club DJ, remixer, and producer. Today, semi-retired on the California coast, David has returned to his roots, creating dance music with Abby. Each track starts with their original lyrics and melodies, shaped with modern production tools to expand orchestration and vocals, and finally remixed and mastered. Blending the disco beats of the 80s, the high energy of the 90s, and today’s technology, "Dreams Live On" merges a lifetime of experience into music for the here and now.
