This video series demonstrates powerful storytelling and civic journalism. They are about empowering voice and connecting one another again, both on a personal and engaging level. DisConnected, the series, is a project that is dedicated to provide strength for stories to stand on their own; the stories that aren't usually covered in the news. Their focus is on the importance of relationships within a community and the power of reconnection. This series will investigate pressing social issues, challenges, and conflicts. The ultimate goal is to illuminate these problems in a light that offers a solution. Media is our common connector- it will be used to tell the stories and unify affected communities. The value behind this work will stem from the very issues Philadelphia is facing today. We are all people living and working within the same area and to truly understand these issues we have to learn how to understand one another.
