Divo has been a trailblazer in hip hop, known for his sharp bilingual delivery and genre-crossing sound. His 2020 EP with producer Atwell, Generation Next, featured “Loyalty,” which landed on Spotify’s Rap Skills playlist. His 2016 album with French producer GMJ, Transatlantic Soul, won East Coast Rap Album of the Year at the Canadian Urban Television Awards. The “Angels Fly Remix” appeared on Bring Ya Eh Game’s Eh List Vol. 4, which hit #5 on the Canadian Earshot campus hip hop charts. “Gotta Vibe” was featured in the 2015 Pan Am Games Pan Am Path compilation, while “Perseverance” earned rotation on MTV Latin America. Divo performed at TDot Fest 2015, starred in a Much Vibe commercial, and opened for Canadian icons Classified, Ghetto Concept, and Choclair. He’s also collaborated with leading rappers including Classified, Young Stitch, D.O. Gibson, Dan-e-o, D-Sisive, DL Incognito, Eternia, Tara Chase, Bishop Brigante, and Brassmunk. Divo is originally from Guatemala.
