Greetings everyone, my name is Sterling L. Gilmore. I was raised on the South Side of Chicago. I graduated from Gary Comer College Prep, the class of 2013, a campus of the Noble Street Charter School. I am currenly attending to Columbia College Chicago to receive my BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts), majoring in Photography. I am expected to graduate in May 2021. One of my favorite things to do is to take pictures. I would like to tell you why I like to do Photography and Videography. When I got my first job at the Gary Comer Youth Center, it was with an After School Matters program called “Free Spirit Media”. I started to learn more about such things as Journalism, Broadcasting, Videography, and Photography. After that, I further developed my skills at Medill Media Teens Chicago. This program, based at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, focused on journalism and photography.
