There are two main characters. Nina is a single aspiring actress. She is a diva who always seems to find more drama off-stage than on. She is full of confidence and narcissism. Despite all this, she cares about her friends.
Trigorin is an editor, but no one knows what he edits. He loves to cook with his good friend, Nina. He is one year younger than Nina. He loves to tease Nina about her age. He says mean things to her, but Nina knows that he loves her.
