'Simply,' because this series is a gentle attempt at opening up Scripture with Scripture in a simple and accessible way. 'Scriptural,' because instead of anecdotes and jokes and stories that often trivialize and distort, the aim here is to use the whole of Scripture itself to unpack what it is saying. 'Scripture,’ because that's what Jesus read and pointed his people to after his resurrection: the Old Testament was his book, and together with New Testament commentary, analysis and explanation, what we now regard as Scripture records for us the many and various ways God has revealed himself to us, ultimately in his Son.
