My Name is Jali Suso I come from The Gambia.I have spend my life making music,playing kora.From the moment I could sit up,I was learning the traditional craft of being a Griot,an African story teller,a Jali.I am a musician and singer.I have played in festivals and concerts in Some countries. Several years ,I was invited to England where I toured and performed in many venues,made a CD of my own music and played concerts to packed houseseven played a role in a Musical celebrating The Gambia. While I was there,I gave several talks and lectures and I taught kora music to great number of students from 6-21 years of age and beyond. I love the opportunity to share the sunshine music of The Gambia and the joyous tradition of my people.
