The LEARN Benefit Concert was started in 2012 by Emelia Suljic when she was a freshman at New Trier High School. Her goal was to help fund the absent music programs for the children enrolled at the Chicago LEARN Charter Schools Network. After eight years of this annual concert, the network now has music programs at seven of their ten campuses. Last year, Sara Bunge, Anna Feinerman, Kathryn Madigan, and Billy Nayman, Co-Chaired the 2019 concert. They met their record breaking goal of $19,000! The four are Co-Chairing the Benefit again this year and set a goal of $20,000 for 2020! Next year, with Anna headed to Pitzer College, Billy to the University of Southern California, Kathryn to UCLA, and Sara to Loyola Marymount University. The LEARN Benefit 2021 will be co-chaired by Bella Friedman, Eloise Fosse, Jon Hanold, and Eddie Nayman.
