BASS LAB SIX (BLS) is one of the most versatile and adventurous music solo projects born in the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. It was envisioned and created by six-string bass player, producer, composer, educator, and visual artist, William Cruz Ruiz, in 2020 as a way to expand his 20-year artistic trajectory in the Puerto Rico music scene and present his music to the globe. BLS experiments with sound modifications to connect different music genres and styles like Nu-Jazz, , Neo-Soul, synth-wave, retro, vapor-wave, 8-bit, psychedelic, deep house, and Jazz fusion to create an artistic experience formed by bass-line improvisations and musical expansion. BLS elevates the music with the bass to create a unique sound that transcends bodies, minds, and souls. In 2021, William released BLS’s debut album with Neon Ctrl Records presenting a brilliant collection of instrumental offerings made for vibrant encounters, mindful sessions, and nature immersion.
