The music of Burden Affinity, a hard rock band based out of Jacksonville, Florida, has been described as "a band that takes the best elements of metal and infuses them into rock music." Although they draw heavy musical influence from modern radio rock and metal staples like Sevendust, Chevelle, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Deftones, Muse, Disturbed, A Perfect Circle, 10 Years and more, Burden Affinity rarely maintains the dark and sometimes hopeless lyrical themes that prevail through so much of the modern rock scene. Endlessly optimistic, Burden Affinity marries a heavy sound with guitar harmonies and anthemic choruses, along with a prevalent message of hope, confidence, and empowerment. Formed in 2016 and consisting of veterans of the Northeast Florida rock music scene, the members have worked together in various forms for more than 15 years.
