Summer Shapiro produced physical comedy theater in San Francisco and New York for years, she transitioned into working closely with musicians to develop story concepts for music videos and found her skills as a physical storyteller and dancer served well on screen. Now she is performing stand up comedy, a speak that lit pre-pandemic and now is growing. Film collaborations include Jeff Desom's "The Key", a music video shot in Luxembourg for German pianist and composer Volker Bertelmann, best known as Hauschka, as well as the music video for Sara Bareilles' song "Brave", directed by Rashida Jones'. Now, since stepping away from her craft after her mother passed in 2013, she is reentering the creative field with her directorial debut, a short film for pianist Karel Barnoski's newest single "November Moon" coming early 2022.
