Christopher Andrew Murray (born April 20, 2000), known professionally as Cemurda, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He was born in Indian River Michigan. At the age of 17 he released his debut mixtape titled The Basement EP (2017). Three months later he released his second mixtape titled The Class of 2018 EP (2018). After the release, he was invited to Detroit to perform on stage in a contest for The Showcase Tour in which he ended up winning first prize. Once he graduated high school he moved down to Lansing Michigan to pursue rapping full time. He eventually released his third mixtape, Waiting (2021), spawning his first breakout hit single "Lansing Freestyle" which surpassed over 87,000 streams on Spotify and over 1.6k views on YouTube. As of 2022, his mixtape Waiting has a total of 112,000 streams on Spotify. In November of 2022, he released another single "Certified Villain" accompanied by a music video that gained over 600 views in the first 10 days of release.
