The Sounds of the Southwest Singers community choir is an all-volunteer multigenerational 501(c)(3) non-profit organization currently with 150 members. The choir was founded in March, 2010 and is self-supporting relying solely on funding from individuals within the community and corporate sponsorship. They perform locally all year round and have sung our National Anthem for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona Coyotes, Arizona Rattlers and during spring training. They have performed at New York's Lincoln Center and most recently Carnegie Hall. They have sung their way through Germany and Austria and have sung on two separate occasions at Disneyland and California Adventures. They had the honor of performing at Pearl Harbor and aboard the USS Missouri in Hawaii. In 2014 they sang in Italy at the Vatican and in 2016 toured England and France. In May, 2017 they were selected to represent Arizona and performed for the National Memorial Choral Festival in Washington D.C.
