Hi, I’m Dave, a house addict from the UK who’s been putting mixes together for nearly thirty years. This channel, Deep Soulful, is a space for fellow mature house heads and selectors to really dig into the deeper/soulful/jazzy/spiritual side of the genre. My setup is 100% digital these days, mainly so I can create clean sounding mixes on a regular basis. But I did learn to mix on vinyl in the 90s, and try to keep the feeling alive by curating sets carefully, focussing on blend and flow over button bashing and FX, and never rushing from A to B. I’ve always enjoyed crate digging, and still spend hours on sites like Bandcamp and Traxsource seeking out artists, labels and tracks to support. There is usually a blend of new discoveries and old favourites in my mixes, and a full track list is always included. I hope you find something you enjoy.
