Ciao, Amici! For over 90 years the Coro d’Italia has been handing down our precious Italian heritage through singing, dancing, traditional costuming, and cultural events. Founded in New York City in 1932, the ensemble moved to New Jersey and incorporated in 2001 as D’Italia Programs, dedicated solely to sharing the Italian American experience. D’Italia researches and presents an annual concert of traditional and contemporary music. In addition, Bambini d’Italia children’s classes are held as an introduction to the Italian language and culture. Special events such as heritage days, dance workshops, La Befana Festival, and performances at festivals, schools, libraries, and community organizations are offered during the year. We are proud to be a part of sharing the story of the many Italians who immigrated to America, and their descendants, but we can’t do it alone. After all, if we don’t save our culture, who will?
