The music and art of Marianthe Loucataris, Mahri Autumn and Audio Narcissist. Marianthe Loucataris is my given name and Mahri Autumn and Audio Narcissist are names I use for music recording projects. An Audio Narcissist is someone who uses audio as a means of reflecting on the nature of existence. Narcissus gets a bad wrap these days. The story can be interpreted as the birth of consciousness and a nod towards one of the oldest of philosophical notions "know thy self". Through sound we can reflect on the nature of things, including ourselves. Mahri Autumn is a name I came up with for my first album as a means of separating myself from the project. A means of pointing to the idea that nothing we create merely comes from ourselves but also emerges from everything that has ever been.
