hitmasterza also known as Tembi Cornelius Tembi was born in the late 80s in his home town Mbengwi,Cameroon. He grew up in a well-respected Bishop’s household and was introduced to music at a tender age of 8 years old where he participated in a church band as a pianist. From 2006 to 2010, hitmasterza started his career in production as a music producer, mix engineer, as well as a mixer and editor of live shows for M1 studio, CFX records, Muna Foundation and Drimp Foundation. He was hired to be part of a music band which presented opportunities to travel to Nigeria and Senegal. hitmasterza moved to South Africa in 2010 to pursue his musical studies; he participated in a year’s interim course that focused on jazz music and staff notation at the University of Cape Town. In 2011, he studied for a national diploma in Electric music production and live sound engineering at City Varsity in Cape Town.
