Hello there, We're a "meta-jazz" piano trio from Athens, Greece (mostly). Rumour has it that we're pretty good at what we do. Think jazz with a twist...and maybe a sprinkle of chaos. Our definition of Meta-jazz: A music genre rooted in the great Afro-American tradition, characterised by its eclectic incorporation of diverse musical influences, no matter how unorthodox, including, but not limited to: Blues, 12-tone, multi-ethnic folk traditions, punk, classic rock, salsa, Romantic era classical, death metal, ars nova, boogaloo, and electronica. It is distinguished by its emphasis on improvisation, complex harmonies and rhythms, and a self-aware approach to jazz that often involves deconstruction and reconstruction of traditional elements.
