peopleWatching is a multi-award-winning animated web series that examines the struggles and inner lives that we all have in common, via the lens of a diverse and neurodiverse group of young people in a fictional version of present-day Toronto. Each episode examines a particular theme that is relevant to young people today, like depression or disability or feeling like maturity is just a mirage, and the unique power of animation lets us examine those themes by creatively dramatizing inner and outer conflicts and by allowing our characters to say the things we often keep inside in real life. peopleWatching “shows reality via unrealistic means,” tells of what it’s actually like to be a human being, and always acknowledges how hard life can be while always offering a hopeful way out… and a few laughs too. peopleWatching makes the audience feel less alone while it’s making them think and laugh.
