Images Of Acension is a music and video work created by Dirk Johan Stromberg (producer, creator) and Clare Chong (video). The work is born from the continued exploration of musical concepts in ascension as well as explorations in hyper instrumentalism. It began as a series of structured improvisations by Dirk Stromberg on his instrumental creation, the Phallophone. Clare Chong responded to the work through video, fantasising a psychedelic world centred around a dancer, a phallophonist in a zentai suit, and various forms of human and worms. These video pieces led to a further response - a set of new improvisations by Dirk, hence completing the feedback loop of creation.
