Zun Alak (formerly Carbonic) is the solo project of Benoît Cougoulat Guerroué. Benoit hails from Brittany, France where he started composing music and writing songs.in 2004 He moved to the US and lived in NYC where he toured multiple times and was involved in many different projects; psych garage band Moon Seeds, the psych-pop duo Jaiko & Benoit, shamanic slowcore collective Queen Sun Sun, and post-punk outfit Dust and ambient trio Skydiver.He has worked on some music for French Theatre and Documentary soundtrack.the sound of Zun Alak is very diverse, from cinematic contemporary ambient pieces to psychedelic folk songs. He draws much inspiration from his personal experiences, his connection with nature, his travels and a desire to express emotions through sound.Experimentation, and not setting boundaries is very important to find the pleasure and freedom the act of creation.
