IM Shorties 2016 is presented by Iskandar Regional Development Authority or IRDA and co-organized by Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studios, a short film competition designed as a platform for emerging talents to develop and present their creativity and stories. The winning or potential short films will be guided or linked to potential avenues accordingly, be it showcases at international festivals, talent development, employment, collaboration and/or funding opportunities; of which these talents will also have an opportunity to participate in Iskandar Malaysia’s Creative eco-system. The Competition is open to any individual, 18 years and below for Students category and 18 years of age or older, for the remaining categories, at the time of entry, and he/she is a citizen or a permanent resident of Malaysia.
