My wife always teases me about how I was born into the home improvement industry, but the fact of the matter is, I was born above my family's True Value Hardware Store on the North Side of Chicago. As a teen, I grew up helping neighbors figure out which toilet flapper is best for their toilet repair, when to use a semi gloss paint finish and advising on the best weatherstripping products to seal up an old window in February. In my 20's I started a handyman service that took our DIY advise into people's homes, helping with small repairs and improvements. As I grew older and D-I-Wiser, our small handyman service became a full service construction company, which my wife and I currently operate.
"The Everyday Workbench" is my passion project that brings me back to the days of helping my neighbors in the aisles of my family's local hardware store with DIY projects. My goal is to help home owners maintain and improve their homes, using smart advise, proven techniques and new products.
