Music without lyrics is the most abstract of art forms as it allows the listener to add their own imagination to the work as they conjure up images and emotions to go with it. Today, however, we live in an audio-visual age (YouTube is a perfect example of this) and hopefully I have been able to enhance the sonic experience by adding these images to it. I have chosen to use found footage and montages to convey something quite angular and oblique. The old movies, documentaries and images lend themselves to juxtaposition and paradox when accompanied with the music, thus producing some very interesting results; often beautiful, but also violent and challenging in some pieces--the beauty of the world is matched only by its ugliness.
