Fair Vote Canada (FVC) is a national citizens' campaign for proportional representation (PR).
PR simply means that voters are represented in proportion to how they voted. If a party gets 30% voter support, they will get about 30% of the seats. No more majorities with 39% of the vote. Your vote will count towards the makeup of Parliament. Parties will cooperate to make policy that has real majority support.
About 87 countries use PR. Among OECD countries (western democracies), only three still use first-past-the-post (Canada, the U.S. and the UK).
