Bess and Amber are a delicious and dynamic Seattle neo-soul/acoustic folk/jazz/RnB/blues/funk/etc duo that blends unexpected guitar riffs with powerful soulful vocals. Bess Hepner and Amber McDowell met at Rain City Rock Camp's Ladies Rock Camp in September 2018 where they were fatefully put in a band together. The two started writing their own songs that following December and played their first show April 2019 at the Royal Room. Their lyrics range from relationship blues to feisty femme-powerment.
