Clowder is a Folk-Rock band that fuses elements of blues, funk, and jazz-based harmony, riffs, and solos led by the haunting voice of Chelsy Larson. The band is based in Lawrence, Kansas and led by songwriter Cody Case and lead vocalist Chelsy Larson. Chelsy's voice is like a blend of Natalie Merchant and Bonnie Raitt, while Cody's songwriting is inspired by Paul Simon, Elliot Smith, and Ani Difranco. CLOWDER is a collective noun for a group of cats. The cats practice in Cody's basement, which is inhabited by two enchanting Siamese cats who dominate the territory and inspired the group's name.
