Hi, there. My name is Eric Maestri. I am a composer and I create music. A few years ago I wrote this short presentation trying to define my poetics: "My first piece is entitled "The music I don't have in mind". It's a kind of musical theatre, in which writing, thinking, listening and counting are combined. I can write and then listen. Pose, and then compose. This thought is still at the centre of my compositional practice. In my musical practice I try to bring out the moment when the written sign becomes sound.
