Sköll and Hati chase the Sun and Moon across the sky in an attempt to plunge the earth into total darkness. The constant struggle between light and darkness and the necessity of both is the inspiration that drove me to create this project. Sun and Moon Dance is my way of expressing the delicate balance that the wolves represent. It also symbolizes the balance of light and darkness within myself. One cannot exsist without the other and having an understanding of them both only makes you stronger.
Musically this project is inspired by many Northern European folk artists. I want to bring my ancestral heritage as well as the heritage of the land of my birth into one project. I am deeply rooted in my Northern European ancestry as well as the roots I have in these mountains of North America. Instruments that the listener can expect to hear are the Mountain Dulcimer, Kraviklyre, Tagelharpa, Frame Drums, various Flutes, Goat/Bull horns and other various instruments.
