TR7 (Taji Ra’oof Nahl) — Philadelphia-based interdisciplinary artist, composer-philosopher, and 2024 Guggenheim Fellow — creates a living broadcast of sculpture, sound, film, and oration rooted in Qur’anic philosophy and African American thought. These works extend lineages of artists and thinkers such as Terry Adkins, Jamaaladeen Tacuma, George E. Lewis, while opening new forms that address surveillance, power, futurity, and the triumph of human existence. More than documentation, Channel TR7 is an express vessel — a counter-broadcast, archive, and invitation to participate in the ongoing construction of knowledge, stewardship, and transformation.
