C A S I M I R A : mujer | madre | artista : HERstory through ART I have been painting for over two decades. My earliest abstract canvases date back to the late 1990s. My educational background is art history and languages, but I consider myself an autodidactic painter. As a young girl, I would spend hours sculpting flowers from clay with my grandmother in her ceramic studio. My sculptures are bronze and silver amulets suspended from ropes of leather and signature silks, accented with powerful crystals and freshwater pearls. I feel blessed to have my artwork in private collections around the globe.
