GPA supports and contributes towards development in The Gambia through striving to introduce locally sustainable projects in education, health and environment and supporting community led initiatives. The Gunjur Project Association was established following a demand to help the local community by visitors to The Gunjur Project Lodge, who promote community-based tourism in The Gambia. Established in 2006 and entered into the UK charity register in 2016.
