The Green Ray, formed in the mid 90's by Ken Whaley & Richard Treece from the much loved 70's band 'Help Yourself'. Following Simon Burgin's passing in 2000 & Ken Whaley's passing in 2013, Martin James Gee & Jeff Gibbs joined and continued with Simon Whaley & Richard Treece after Simon Haspeck left in 2013. When Richard Treece passed in 2015, founding member Simon Whaley switched from Drums to Lead Guitar & the band released the albums 'Half Sentences' (Sugarbush/Reckless Records 2017) featuring Richard Treece's final recordings with the band, 'Five Points Of Light' (Sugarbush/Reckless Records 2019) & 'Live At SOL Party' (Sugarbush/Reckless Records 2020). The current line up is Simon Whaley (Lead Guitar), Martin James Gee (Vocals, Guitar), Mark Cullum (Drums), Dave Mackenzie (Bass) & Mitch Brooks (Flute, Saxophone).
